jessy landeros- The Time I Met Cesar Chavez
I was running down the street and I fell and somebody help me and I notice that Cesar Chavez was the one who help me. When that happened we were friends and we hang out together. Cesar Chavez being my smallest friend I ever had was going to be interesting. Then Cesar and I started to hangout with are families.
Then I was talking to him about my life. Then looking at him, he starts to talk about his life. Like he was poor during the Great Depression and he told me that people lost their jobs. Being myself, I was talking to him because he was my friend. Also he told me that his father’s name was Librado and his mother’s name was Juana. Also he told me that he helped a lot of Mexicans.
Also he told me that he quit school to help his family in working. Then that when he was ten years old his parents lots the store and farm that they had. Then I was so surprising that he never believed in violence. Now I know that I could trust him because he does not believe in violence and that a good thing. Finally I decided that I could have more personal talks with Cesar Chavez like about my family.

jessy landeros- The Story Of Cesar Chavez
Cesar Chavez was born in Arizona on March 31, 1927. Cesar’s
parents owned a farm in Arizona. His father’s name was Librado and his
mother’s name was Juana. Cesar Chavez dad said that, “people should stand
up for themselves and for others”. Cesar went to school and grew up in a
happy home and didn’t believe in violence.
When Cesar Chavez was ten years old he was taller and, his family
lost their farm and store in 1937. This happened because this was during the
Great Depression it was a period of time were the people were poor. The family moved to California in 1938 and traveled from farm to farm picking up crops all over California because they had a little bit of money. In 1939, the Chavez family settled in Salsi Puedes, California. The Chavez’s family were immigrant workers that had to settle to those kinds of jobs in order to get by.
Cesar Chavez had to quit school on his 8th grade term to help his family in work force. Then Cesar began to date Helen Fabela when he was fifteen years old. In 1944 Cesar Chavez joined the U.S. Navy. When he came back in 1946 he married Helen Fabela and they had eight children. In 1952 Cesar Chavez joins the Community Service Organization in San Jose California because immigrant farm workers worked many hours and didn’t pay much money. In 1962 Cesar Chavez found the National Farm Workers Association.
One day a group of farm workers asked farm owners for more money
the farm owners refuse to listen to the workers and that’s were the farm workers decide to take a stand. Since Cesar didn’t believe in violence, he advised the workers to take a peaceful stand and do not use violence to let their voice be heard. He told them to go on a peaceful strike to let the employers know that they had had enough. Due to the strikes the farm owners decided to pay farm workers more money and gave workers better work conditions and housing.
In April 23, 1993 Cesar Chavez passed away in his sleep. Cesar Chavez was an important person in the Mexican community. He helped them fight for better pay and working conditions for them and their future families. He understood the suffering that the farmers went threw because he was also a farmer for most of his life. In 2000 California establishes a state holiday on Chavez's birthday to honor him. With the Hispanics Cesar Chavez was a hero that changed all their lives for the better. He will always be remembered as a helper to the farm workers and as a man that believe violence does not fixes problems.
Maria Herrera "How did i hurt or help my grade tis year?" Dear Mr. Hill,
I have had good grades although i get a little hyper in some classes. I am like a bear when i get hyper. I also have gotten bad grades one in your class last semester. The other classes i have rock them. I was a sponge obsorving everything the teachers teach me.
This year has been the bestest and greatest year i have ever had. This year was cool as an ice berg floating in the ocean. This year flew in the wind. It was also the best year ever because i have a better grade in your class then last semester.
I hope i keep learning and keep getting good grades all the way through high school. And i also hope you get a little better students next year.

Dear, Stephen Hill
My name is Javier I am in your 7th period well I think you are a really good educator; you never give up on us. Many times I don’t like you but some time you are really cool. I hear lot of bad thing about you but some are not true. I know you want your all your student to be successful like you.
I think that you helped me a lot so far but I know you get mad because I don’t turn in my work. Now I know that I really have an educator that care about me. Like in 5th grade I had a teacher that did not care about me. Many people think I am stupid but I am really smart but I don’t show it; and I would like to prove them wrong.
I think know that I been in your class I learned how to read better than before and I thank you for trying so hard to help me. You are a really good teacher to have. People next year are really lucky to have you here they would learn lots from you just like I did and I thank you for that.
Just one of your students

Dear Mr.Hill
The years 2007-2008 has been really tough. It was tough those years because in every class especially 7th period the class was a jungle and every single class was loud as a bear roaring for food. During those years I couldn’t concentrate because of the noise. Sometimes I just wish the chair would stand up and run away as far from the classroom.
The only days I hated 7th period was when there was a substitude. Mostly everytime there is a sub everyone well mostly everyone turned into the Flash from the Justice League and started running every where. The only sub that calmed us down was Mr.Brinston. we mostly listened to him because he treated us like teenagers and with respect.
The only days I liked 7th period was when you where here because everyone respects you and some of us are afraid of you. Mostly everyone hates you because you only make us do worksheats , but thats why it is called a classroom.

Dear,Mr.Hill
Well this 2007-2008 school year has been really insteresting. In the begining of the school year I wasn't very succesful with my school work and grades.I had really bad grades and I took school as a joke. When I would come to school I would only go for my friends.
I would never turn in my work.Iwould just go to class and do pretty much nothing but talk. But then one day I looke dat my report card. And saw that I had bad grades so I started to think about everything and I told myself that I was going to raise up my grades so the next day I went to school and started to complete my assigments and pay more attention in class.
My repoet card came in the mail.I was so excited for it to ocme. For ones in a long time I wasnt nervous to ge it.Because I new that i had got good grades.I raised all of my grades up.Got rid of all my fails.
Then when I came to school my teachers began to congradulate me. and you told me that I realy showed improvemnt over theh last few weeks. So ever since then ive been tryn to keep of my grades. So far ive been doin a prrety good job.
"How did you help or hurt your own success this year? Dear Mr. Hill,
This year was okay for me. I learned a lot of things that some of them I did not know, like new vocabulary words. I help my own success in this year by paying attention in all my classes, doing what I suppose to do, turning in all my work and following directions, and Know I am getting good grades.
At school some people might think that with your uniform you look like a school girl/boy or that collar shirts are ugly as wearing white and blue each day, but I really don't care because it's only like 7 hours and for me it passes flying real fast like the wind. With the gum or candy I agree. It taste so delicious, but I don't eat it during classes. Only at nutrition and lunch thats why it is called like that so we could have our break and eat.During at class periods I don't eat it so I can not get in trouble and not affect my behavior.
Even though if I talk with the people around me during class try to not talk other things that is not related to class work. But I compared it in other classrooms.Their's a jungle going on,well some majority of kids:talking a lot, their very noisy, they don't turn in their work and they get in trouble in class and failing the class. But I do my work and I turn it in all my classes so I can not disappoint my parents because they push me a lot to do well at school to do well at school, so I can finish getting a High School diploma and then going to college and study medicine for a while, so I can be the best doctor they have ever seen.I think right know it's the bigining but then I am going to make my dream to become a perfessional doctor. Thanks for helping out to.
Sincerely ,Ana Martinez
thanks for all your help too ,Sincerely ,Ana
